architecture-design · 2026-08-29

In response to a pilot initiative commencing this month at Kottbusser Tor in Berlin, designer Simon Weckert has launched Digital Camouflage, a shirt crafted to evade AI video surveillance. This innovative garment employs vibrant colors and intricate patterns to confuse artificial intelligence. In a related development, Swedish firm Riksbyggen, in collaboration with BBDO Nordics, has presented three compact apartments that showcase what a 25-year-old can afford in Sweden, with sizes ranging from 1.9 square meters in Stockholm to 4.5 square meters in Umeå. Anton Bolin from BBDO Nordics emphasized the goal of highlighting the challenges of home affordability. Additionally, the Trump administration is considering demolishing the Kennedy Centre due to renovation disagreements, while construction has commenced on the Manhattan Detention Facility, which will replace the Rikers Island jail complex.
