ANREALAGE Debuts E Ink Color-Changing Dresses at Paris Fashion Week

other · 2026-09-30

During Paris Fashion Week, the Spring/Summer 2027 collection named SKIN by ANREALAGE featured six dresses that shifted from gray to vibrant hues. Designer Kunihiko Morinaga partnered with E Ink, utilizing Prism 3 electronic-paper technology, which incorporates 1,000 to 2,000 E Ink components in each garment. This unique material mimics the reflective quality of paper and consumes energy only when images are altered. Inspired by the phoenix, Morinaga's vision presents clothing as a renewable outer layer. The transformation of the dresses occurred live alongside a performance of Igor Stravinsky's The Firebird. Naoki Sumita from E Ink Japan commended ANREALAGE for its innovative fusion of craftsmanship and technology.
