Anonym Studio's Oom House Extension in Bangkok Features Curved Concrete and Glass Connections

Anonym Studio has completed the Oom House extension in Bangkok, Thailand, adding curved concrete volumes that connect to the original dwelling through a glass hinge. The project rethinks residential typologies with continuous spatial flow, using curved geometries to soften boundaries between structures. A concave glass wall at the intersection creates a shared terrace, extending exterior space into the new interior and increasing daylight penetration. The ground floor contains shared living areas, while private bedrooms occupy the second and third floors. Staircases are positioned at different locations on each level to encourage varied circulation paths. Material selection emphasizes contrast: dark-toned wood for window frames and railings contrasts with grey plaster exterior walls, while lighter wood tones dominate interior floors and furniture. The exterior's textured grey plaster references raw concrete, contrasting with smooth white interior walls.
