Anoma's A1 Prehistoric Watch Hand-Chiseled Like Brâncuși's Stone Tools

Anoma, a unique watchmaker, has launched the A1 Prehistoric, a special edition timepiece that transforms their signature triangular design into something reminiscent of ancient artifacts. This watch draws from the stone tools crafted by sculptor Constantin Brâncuși, featuring deliberately rough, hand-chiseled surfaces instead of sleek finishes. Matteo Violet Vianello, the founder, was inspired by a Brâncuși exhibition he attended at the Centre Pompidou. Each 316L stainless steel case is painstakingly chiseled for five hours by French engraver Steven Brunel, whose artistry has been showcased at the Louvre. The dial boasts about 600 hand-engraved lines on a brass base with an anthracite finish. It runs on a Swiss automatic Sellita SW100 movement, has a 38-hour power reserve, and is water-resistant up to 50m. Only 100 pieces will be available, with orders starting on July 8, 2026, and deliveries expected in October.
