Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Steven Fillet Present Belle-Île at MACS Grand-Hornu
From September 6 to November 1, 2026, MACS Grand-Hornu will showcase seven significant artworks created by Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker and Steven Fillet. This series, titled Belle-Île, began in autumn 2024 on Belle-Île-en-Mer, where the artists painted on a five by twenty meter canvas outdoors. Their process involved movement and drawing, gradually transforming the canvas to depict a location, two figures, and a fleeting moment. De Keersmaeker will also present a new solo performance, Amnesia, influenced by Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 32, with live shows scheduled for September 13, October 4, October 25, and November 1. De Keersmaeker (b. 1960) is the founder of Rosas and P.A.R.T.S., while Fillet (b. 1966) incorporates temporary materials, and Franco (b. 1964) collaborates on the performance.
