Ann Stockdale's Artistic Journey and Abstract Works

Ann Stockdale, a painter, discusses her career and vibrant abstract art. She studied at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London before engaging with musicians like Jimmy Hendrix and Steve Winwood in the 1960s. In 1970, she returned to the United States, living in Hollywood's Laurel Canyon and later moving to Washington state in 1989, where she began daily watercolor painting. Her work has been exhibited in galleries, on the Princes Cruise line, and at museums, including a solo show at the Frye Museum in Gig Harbor. Stockdale has won awards, such as a recent Best of Show at Tacoma Community College. She also creates digital fusions of oil and silk paintings and authored a poetry book titled 'Javvy Jeaners' about her spiritual influences.
