Andrej Gronau's Berlin Spring 2027 Collection: Garden, Bacon, and Metamorphosis

Andrej Gronau presented his spring 2027 collection at Berlin Fashion Week, drawing inspiration from gardens as microcosms and the intense color palette of painter Francis Bacon. The collection features metallicized leather coats and tees in raspberry and sunshine yellow with abstracted blooms, folkloric gathered skirts printed with flowers and cats, and elongated color-blocked sweaters in brown, black, teal, emerald, and shell pink. Gronau, who lives between London and Berlin, emphasized his shift toward expressive color and references, moving away from his earlier 'too cute and calm' style. He accompanied the collection with a zine documenting his creative process. The designer is noted for his conceptual yet wearable approach, with minimalistic, slightly 1960s-inflected shapes for all genders.
