Andrea Benetti's Cave Art Dialogue with Contemporary Art in Pietrasanta
The Art Gallery Il Cesello in Pietrasanta, located on Via Stagio Stagi, will host Andrea Benetti's solo exhibition 'PY43 · Órigo – Materia tempore subsidit' from September 5 to 20, 2026. The opening vernissage is scheduled for September 5 at 6:30 PM, with the exhibition open daily from 10:30 AM to 11:00 PM. Curated by Laura Luciano, the show features works primarily from Benetti's 'Astrattismo delle Origini' cycle, which has been central to his artistic research for years. Benetti is also known as the author of the 'Manifesto dell'Arte Neorupestre', presented in 2009 at the 53rd Venice Biennale at Ca' Foscari University, serving as both a biographical credential and the methodological foundation of his poetics. The exhibition's Latin title hints at themes of matter and time, exploring the enduring questions posed by prehistoric cave paintings and their dialogue with contemporary art.
