Andrade Morettin Designs School-Patio Concept for Colegio Santa Cruz in São Paulo

In São Paulo, Brazil, Andrade Morettin Arquitetos Associados has finalized the Colegio Santa Cruz Educação Infantil, which spans 3,415 square meters. The project, overseen by architects Vinicius Andrade, Marcelo Morettin, Marcelo Maia Rosa, and Renata Andrulis, highlights the school’s design as a patio, prioritizing play. Functioning as an acoustic barrier, the building is inward-facing to ensure safety. The central patio acts as the primary social hub, linking classrooms to promote interaction among different age groups. The project team, coordinated by Izabel Sigaud and Fernanda Mangini, included Raphael Souza, Murilo Zidan, and others. Completed in 2025, the photography was done by Nelson Kon and Alberto Ricci, with various engineering firms participating. Curated by Susanna Moreira.
