Andaz Shanghai ITC Opens in Xuhui with Nostalgic Design by HBA

Andaz Shanghai ITC, the first luxury hotel in Xujiahui, has opened inside the International Trade Centre complex. The hotel's interiors, designed by HBA, draw inspiration from the area's heritage shikumen lane houses and pre-war architecture. Features include alleyway-like corridors, a 14th-floor lobby with 1930s-style elevators, and a grand clock that marks 5:30 pm daily. The 267 rooms are themed as abodes of creative professionals, with the Andaz suite styled as a photographer's home. Art installations by Debut Studio, Lu Jian Xin, and a triathlon mosaic by SONITE are featured. The hotel offers three dining spaces: East Wing (Shanghainese cuisine by Chef Jesse Chen), West Wing (multicultural tapas), and Rooftop Bar (tea-based cocktails by Van Li). The ITC complex, designed by P&T Group, includes Tower 2, the tallest in Puxi at 370m. Xuhui is home to Xujiahui Library, St. Ignatius Cathedral, and Shanghai Film Museum.
