Anatolie Micaliuc Devises Print-First Branding for New York's Reading Rooms Library

architecture-design · 2026-09-18

Anatolie Micaliuc crafted the branding for Reading Rooms, a curated library located in New York, with Artem Matyushkin serving as the art lead. The visual identity maintains a cohesive style across signage and printed materials, blending classic book arts with minimalist layouts. A soothing off-white paper enhances the study atmosphere, complemented by organized grid lines for text arrangement. The typography selection features Only Sans, Reformat B, and Stellage, with CoFo Sans used for smaller text. Design components include library checkout cards, pressed paper bookmarks, sturdy book jackets, dark metal door signs, and cotton tote bags. Physical surfaces were assessed by Bendito Mockups, and raw paper stocks reflect an antique public archive. The project is showcased on Behance.
