Anamorphic Freddie Mercury Mural Unveiled at Wembley Park for 80th Birthday
To celebrate Freddie Mercury's 80th birthday, a 30ft anamorphic mural named 'I'm Mr Mercury' was revealed at Wembley Park. The artwork, crafted by street artist Frank Styles, features four hand-sprayed pieces that create a unified image along the Spanish Steps, recognizable as Mercury's face from a distance of 65ft. Born on 5 September 1946, Mercury performed at Wembley with Queen, who held 10 concerts from 1978 to 1984 and took part in Live Aid in July 1985. The mural symbolizes Mercury's life, incorporating koi carp to represent his affection for Japan and winged figures to signify his Virgo zodiac. Visitors can view the mural for free until December 2026.
