Anaïs Tondeur Inaugurates Former Fondation Cartier Building with 'Là où le sol pousse'

exhibition · 2026-10-07

From 5 to 29 November 2026, Anaïs Tondeur will showcase 'Là où le sol pousse' at 261 boulevard Raspail. This exhibition highlights five specific sites: the forest of Pacy, the Volvic impluvium, the chalk quarries of Maison Ruinart, the gypsum quarry in Cormeilles-en-Parisis, and a farm in the Marais. The scientific curation is led by Marc-André Selosse. Tondeur’s 'géo-graphies' incorporate soil molecules on mulberry paper, with the Pacy piece measuring 90 cm by 13 m. The immersive experience features a textile installation, an olfactory palette, and a soundscape, with contributions from Sylvain Gouraud, Jean-Marc Chomaz, Louise Hazard, and Floriane Pochon. Admission costs €9.50, reduced to €5, and is free for children under 12; the exhibition is open from Wednesday to Sunday, 11 am–7 pm, and until 9 pm on Thursdays.
