Amy Garcia and Lindsey Burrow to Push Look North Sofa 80 Miles for Children in Need
Amy Garcia, who hosts BBC Look North, will team up with Lindsey Burrow, the wife of rugby league legend Rob Burrow, for a unique challenge to raise funds for BBC Children in Need. Starting in Ripon on Monday, November 9, they'll push a red sofa 80 miles (129 km) across Yorkshire over five days, ending in Wakefield on Friday, November 13. Each day, they plan to cover between 12 and 20 miles, including a climb up Holme Moss with a specially designed trolley. Their progress will be streamed live, featuring visits to projects supported by Children in Need. Lindsey, who has run several marathons for Rob, found a test push tougher than expected. More donation details for the 2026 challenge will come soon.
