America Today: Voices in Contemporary Print at The Print Center

The Print Center in Philadelphia presents 'America Today: Voices in Contemporary Print', a group exhibition timed to the nation's 250th anniversary. The show features prints from six community-focused workshops: Brandywine Workshop and Archives (Philadelphia), Coronado Print Studio (Austin), Crow's Shadow Institute of the Arts (Pendleton), EFA Robert Blackburn Printmaking Workshop (New York), Self Help Graphics & Art (Los Angeles), and Women's Studio Workshop (Kingston). The 35 exhibiting artists include Natalie Ball, Chakaia Booker, Raven Chacon, Pepe Coronado, Lizania Cruz, Ka'ila Farrell-Smith, Sandra Fernández, Cannupa Hanska Luger, Howardena Pindell, Wendy Red Star, and Marie Watt, among others. Their works address themes of community histories, political actions, systemic violence, and cultural heritage, engaging with civil rights, social justice, and the common good. The exhibition is supported by The Pew Center for Arts & Heritage.
