Ambient's Eco-Conscious Public Library in Choszczówka, Warsaw

Polish architecture firm Ambient has completed a new public library in Choszczówka, a district of Warsaw, Poland. The project, which covers 625 square meters and was finished in 2024, was curated by Nina Vuga and designed with a strong focus on environmental sustainability. The library aims to serve as a community hub, featuring energy-efficient systems, renewable resources, and natural, low-emission materials, all integrated into the surrounding landscape. The design team, led by principal architect Magdalena Pios, included Zofia Sobolewska, Julianna Skuz, Rafał Chmielewski, and Antoni Kostrzewa. The mural was created by Alek Slon, with structural engineering by Tomasz Neumann, electrical installations by Marcin Płoński, sanitary installations by Karolina Bartkowiak, and landscaping by Katarzyna Kwiatkowska. Key suppliers include VELUX Commercial, Fermacell, Forbo, Steico, and Troldekt. Photographs of the completed building were taken by Marcin Czechowicz.
