Amazon MGM Studios Leads Search for Next James Bond After Broccoli and Wilson Exit
Amazon MGM Studios is on the hunt for a new actor to portray the legendary character James Bond, succeeding Daniel Craig. Candidates reportedly include Callum Turner, Jack Lowden, and Jacob Elordi. Notably, this development follows a change in leadership, with longtime producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson stepping away. Following Amazon's acquisition of the Bond franchise rights in 2025 and a subsequent $1 billion investment, the project is set to be helmed by director Denis Villeneuve. Filming is anticipated to begin in 2027, aiming for a theatrical release in 2028, with casting updates expected by late 2026.
