amass Renovates Its Own Workspace in Shanghai
After eight years since its establishment, the architecture firm amass has revamped its office in Shanghai. Finished in 2026, the 118 m² redesign was motivated not by growth but by a reevaluation of the studio's operational methods. Principal architects Ai Linzi, Fu Lei, and Wang Kailin explored the necessity of permanent features in traditional layouts, considering that a workspace needs to evolve with varying projects, materials, and collaborative approaches. The transformation is captured in images by Bin Li.
