AlMusalla Prize 2027 Shortlist Revealed by Diriyah Biennale Foundation
The Diriyah Biennale Foundation has announced the four finalists for the AlMusalla Prize 2027, which is an international contest for designing a contemporary prayer space. The finalists are Al-Jawad Pike from the UK, Civil Architecture from Bahrain and Kuwait, MILLIØNS from the USA, and NEW SOUTH from France. Each firm must create a flexible design within a 20x20 meter space, reaching up to 12 meters in height, suitable for two different site conditions. The winning project will be featured at the third Islamic Arts Biennale in Jeddah, held at the King Abdulaziz International Airport's Western Hajj Terminal, before relocating to Diriyah's JAX District. The winner will be revealed in March 2027, during the biennale, which runs from November 1, 2027, to March 1, 2028.
