Alina Lupu: Protest, Solidarity, and Art Beyond Capitalism

Alina Lupu, an artist and board member of Platform BK, views protest as encompassing civil disobedience, petitions, debates, and the creation of alternative care structures outside capitalism. Her work brings together ideas for alternatives to exploitative systems. She serves on the board of Platform BK, a solidarity organization advocating for better conditions for artists in the Netherlands. Lupu documented the UvA Encampment for Palestine on the Roeterseiland Campus in May 2024. She also participated in the exhibition AFTERMATH at Punt WG alongside Eirini Kakopierou, Freja Nøhr Kristiansen, Annabel Steurs, and Elektra Tatalia-Aloupi. Additionally, she organized a fundraiser for Palestine during the Graduation Show 2024 at KABK, with photography by Fabio Meinardi and Hana Selena Sokolović.
