Alfredo Paredes Opens First Boutique in Hudson with Handcrafted Furniture and Curated Art

Alfredo Paredes has launched his inaugural physical store at 521 Warren Street in Hudson, New York. The boutique showcases his handcrafted furniture collection alongside curated artworks, photography, textiles, and vintage objects. Paredes, who spent 33 years at Ralph Lauren Home as chief creative officer before founding Alfredo Paredes Studio in 2019, describes the space as embodying layered, personal design. The shop features photography by Richard Phibbs, Marcus Tyler, and Richard Corman, including Corman's image of Jean-Michael Basquiat. Artworks by Gordon Winarick, Antoni Tàpies, and Eric Cormenzana hang salon-style. Furniture pieces include the Santana sofa with 1940s inspiration and the Mateo table referencing 18th-century French craftsmanship. The store also offers Paredes's Cocuyo textiles for Kravet Couture, Farrow & Ball paint, and European vintage finds. Located among antiques dealers on Warren Street, the boutique aims to create a collector's living room atmosphere where furniture coexists with art and found objects. Paredes notes the Hudson community values provenance and craft. The designer recently regained control of his furniture line after manufacturing partner EJ Victor closed. His monograph 'Alfredo Paredes: At Home' was published by Rizzoli. The store's selection will continuously evolve with new acquisitions.
