Alexis Ralaivao Joins Pilar Corrias Gallery with Solo Show in London

Pilar Corrias has added Alexis Ralaivao to its roster, collaborating with Olney Gleason in New York for representation. Ralaivao, born in 1991 in Rennes, France, where he continues to live and work, is presenting his debut UK solo exhibition, Flirter avec l’abstrait, at the gallery's Conduit Street location in Mayfair, London, until 23rd May 2026. His oil paintings merge Old Master methods from 17th-century Dutch art with a modern perspective, focusing on fabric details and fleeting moments to evoke emotional depth. The gallery expressed enthusiasm, noting the show's strong reception and Ralaivao's skill in reinterpreting historical techniques. His works are in collections such as the Nerman Museum of Contemporary Art in Kansas, the Institute of Contemporary Art in Miami, the Musée des Beaux-Arts de Rennes, the Powerlong Museum in Shanghai, and the He Art Museum in China. In 2022, he was included in The Artsy Vanguard.
