Alexandra Baraitser Returns with 'I Just Gotta Do It' at Tiderip's New Percy Street Space

exhibition · 2026-10-13

I Just Gotta Do It, the first commercial solo exhibition by Alexandra Baraitser in almost twenty years, will be held at Tiderip's new gallery located at 17 Percy Street, London, from 7 October to 7 November 2026. Born in Cape Town in 1971, Baraitser has been painting for thirty years and previously showcased her work at the Barbican Centre. In 1998, she was a finalist for the NatWest Art Prize. Her most recent solo exhibition, The Future Past, took place at Mark Jason Gallery in 2007. This new show includes typewriter paintings and uniquely designed chairs, reflecting a change in her color palette, and ends with three smaller pieces. The preview was written by curator Yiran Zhu. Founders Marjorier Ding and Louis Jacquier are seen with Typeface (2026).
