Alex Margo Arden Recreates Amy Winehouse's Personal Belongings in 'Nothing Personal' at Nicoletta Fiorucci Foundation
The exhibition 'Nothing Personal' by Alex Margo Arden is currently on display at the Nicoletta Fiorucci Foundation in London and will continue until 23 January 2027. It offers an intimate glimpse into Amy Winehouse's life through her possessions. Arden, a postgraduate from the Royal Academy Schools (2025), assembled Library (2026), featuring over 400 books from Winehouse's estate, gathered through auctions and interviews. The showcase also includes Makeup (2026), highlighting discontinued products used by Winehouse, and Jigsaws (2026), which represent her mindfulness. Additionally, Arden recreated items that Winehouse never had, such as a birthday card from Mark Ronson and Adele. An immersive piece, Perfume, believed to have belonged to Winehouse [I-IV] (2024-2026), is part of the exhibition. Arden aims to examine themes of celebrity ownership and personal essence while avoiding direct imagery of Winehouse.
