Alessandro Isola Studio crafts Porsche collector's garage in Italy

Alessandro Isola Studio, with project architect Roberto Zanlucchi, has completed a private storage space for a Porsche collection in an undisclosed Italian location. The project transforms an industrial building into a four-level display and retreat, featuring a car lift, glass floors, and skylights that allow views across levels. The exterior remains deliberately anonymous. Inside, sober black resin floors and walls contrast with splashes of color from art, furnishings, and the cars. A custom 6m-long brass table on an upper floor is inspired by the Porsche silhouette, with a Tangerine accent referencing a vintage Porsche color. The car lift sits flush with the ground floor when not in use and can transport cars to the top floor, which includes a bar, wine cellar, vinyl listening space, and roof terrace with outdoor kitchen. The guest bathroom features a basin carved from a single block of white Palissandro marble. Isola describes the space as a 'spatial experience that alters perception,' with structure pushed to the edges for column-free car display.
