Alaïa opens pink mosaic-tiled Miami store designed by Halleroed

Alaïa has opened a new store in Miami's Design District, designed by Swedish studio Halleroed. The exterior and interior surfaces are clad in pale pink mosaic tiles, referencing Miami's art deco heritage and Alaïa's signature shade. The store features soft curved forms contrasted with sharp rectangular geometries, metallic and leather textures, and a collection of vintage and modern furniture by Reinhard Müller, Philippe Starck, and Ron Arad, curated by Martin Brûlé. Bespoke planters by botanist Patrick Blanc integrate lush tropical vegetation. The store is arranged over different levels for footwear, accessories, and ready-to-wear, with abundant mirrors and soft lighting. This is the fifth collaboration between Halleroed and Alaïa, working with former creative director Pieter Mulier. The design aims to create a fluid relationship between architecture, furniture, and landscape. The store is located at 171 NE 39th St, Miami.
