Aisti launches bio-based acoustic ceiling tiles from wood fibre
Finnish brand Aisti has introduced Aisti Aalto, a bio-based acoustic ceiling tile made from renewable wood fibre. The tiles are produced using foam-forming technology: a wood fibre mixture is aerated, then dried into a fire-resistant, recyclable, and cost-efficient material. Available in a single white finish, the tiles measure 60 by 60 centimetres and fit standard ceiling systems for easy installation. Aisti describes the process as "almost like baking a cake," with fibres bonding naturally without plastics. The product is marketed as a sustainable alternative to conventional acoustic materials, suitable for a range of interiors.
