Airbrush Artist Philip Castle, Creator of Iconic Film Posters, Dies at 83

Philip Castle, a British airbrush artist known for creating iconic film posters including those for Stanley Kubrick's 'A Clockwork Orange' and 'Full Metal Jacket,' has died at age 83. Castle, a recent Royal College of Art graduate, was commissioned by Kubrick after advertising his services. He produced the famous poster for 'A Clockwork Orange' following a private screening at Kubrick's home. His work also included artwork for musical acts like Pulp and the Rolling Stones. Castle's contributions to 20th-century visual culture through his distinctive airbrush technique are widely recognized.
