Ai Weiwei's button installation at Aviva Studios leads this week's art highlights

Ai Weiwei's exhibition 'Button Up!' opens at Aviva Studios in Manchester from 2 July to 6 September, featuring an installation about world history, colonialism, and buttons. Lindsey Mendick presents wild and hilarious ceramics exploring personal trauma at Carl Freedman Gallery, Margate, from 28 June to 30 August.
