AECOM Unveils Mountain-Inspired Huafa Financial Vitality City in Shaoxing, China

In Shaoxing, China, AECOM has conceptualized the Huafa Financial Vitality City, a diverse urban area influenced by the surrounding mountains and waterways. At its core lies a park that organizes various buildings and public spaces, seamlessly blending financial offices, hospitality, retail, and civic areas. The architectural style echoes the local mountainous landscape, forming a cohesive group of towers while maintaining distinct identities. This layout emphasizes vistas of Meishan and the Jinghu National Urban Wetland Park. Dominating the site is a 168-meter International Financial Center, which interacts with an adjacent hotel tower. The initiative, titled Shaoxing Huafa International Vitality City, is spearheaded by Colin Franzen and involves multiple collaborators.
