Adam Handler Returns to Naples for Residency 'Where It All Began'

Artist Adam Handler will undertake a residency titled 'Where It All Began' in Naples from June 8 to 13, 2026. The project is organized by NOH-ART Contemporary in collaboration with Trium Art Gallery, with collector Ernesto Esposito serving as a creative figure. Handler returns to Naples and the Amalfi Coast, where over twenty years ago he studied drawing from life and immersed himself in Italian culture. During the residency, he will work at puntozerovaleriaapicella, an independent art space located in a former wing of the 16th-century cloister of Santa Caterina a Formiello—a site that later became a wool factory under the Bourbon dynasty and a shoe factory after World War II. The space will function as an open studio, accessible by appointment to collectors, curators, critics, and professionals. The highlight is an open studio on Friday, June 12, open to the public, offering a behind-the-scenes look at the creative process rather than a traditional exhibition. The residency aims to intertwine biography, territory, and artistic research, allowing the past to reactivate in the present.
