Adam Goodrum's Hangman lighting collection for Rakumba

Adam Goodrum, an Australian designer, has introduced the Hangman lighting collection for Rakumba, drawing inspiration from the nostalgic game of Hangman. This collection features table, floor, and ceiling lights crafted from extruded aluminium rods that can be bent into various geometric shapes thanks to a uniquely designed articulated joint. This joint allows for a full circular rotation with a satisfying click when secured, thanks to its 45-degree cut. The light source is a sleek glowing tip, available in black anodised or silver anodised finishes, while the raw polished aluminium option is intended to develop a patina over time. Goodrum sought to evoke the sensation of drawing, highlighting versatility as a three-dimensional creative tool. Dan Treacy, Rakumba's head of design, referred to Hangman as a potential future design icon, combining a playful spirit with solid construction.
