Absent Findings SS27 Collection Explores Surrealism and Personal Expression

Dubai-based fashion house Absent Findings, founded by Creative Director Shivin Singh, has unveiled its Spring/Summer 2027 collection titled "What's the Color of My Voice?" The collection draws inspiration from surrealist painter Leonora Carrington, Oskar Schlemmer's costume design, Victorian embellishments, and preparatory uniforms. It features tailored silhouettes disrupted by ruffles, gathered panels, decorative trims, and pops of color. Heirloom saris are incorporated as trims and accents, treated as living entities that infuse garments with memory and intimacy. The color palette marks a departure from previous muted tones, introducing olive, rust, burgundy, lilac, ochre, muted blue, and deep brown. The collection is presented as a retreat within the studio walls, a subtle act of defiance against external chaos, emphasizing creation with intent and diligence. The brand weaves themes of memory, architecture, and cultural heritage, drawing inspiration from forgotten textiles and personal stories.
