Abelardo Gil-Fournier showcases 'El signo y la calima' at Galería Ángeles Baños in Badajoz, presenting two pieces that investigate the interplay of image as both a technical and atmospheric phenomenon. The series 'Dunas / Micrografías' draws upon the shifting dune Råbjerg Mile in Denmark to depict themes of instability and motion, linking modern digital visuals to 19th-century landscape art. Layered fragments from these paintings create a visual experience shaped by noise and climate influences. Additionally, 'Adivinación artificial' explores the relationship between computation and animal behavior, featuring three panels that reinterpret ornithomancy texts through bird ring measurements. This exhibition underscores the relationships between atmosphere, information, and interpretation. The 'Dunas / Micrografías' series received support from the 2024 Leonardo Grant by the BBVA Foundation.
