59th Carnegie International Announces 61 Artists with Record 36 New Commissions

Set to launch in May, the 59th Carnegie International exhibition showcases 61 artists, marking a record with 36 presenting newly commissioned works. Curated by Danielle A. Jackson, Ryan Inouye, and Liz Park, the exhibition is titled If the word we, focusing on the concept of the first-person plural. Key contributors include Georges Adéagbo, asinnajaq, Fe Avila, Maithili Bavkar, Dineo Seshee Bopape, Saloua Raouda Choucair, Chung Seoyoung, Torkwase Dyson, and Elle Márjá Eira. Additional artists featured are Alia Farid, Sanchayan Ghosh, Beatriz González, Jonathan González, and Abraham González Pacheco, along with Kearra Amaya Gopee, Eric Gyamfi, Jason Hirata, and Claudia Martínez Garay. The exhibition also includes Sōfū Teshigahara, Natasha Tontey, and Zhao Yao.
