25 European Public Spaces Selected for 2026 Urban Award
The CCCB has revealed the 25 projects chosen for the 2026 European Prize for Urban Public Space, selected from 381 entries spanning 38 nations. This marks the prize's 12th edition, which has garnered a total of 2,800 submissions over its 25-year history. An international jury, chaired by architect Eva Prats, focused on initiatives that tackle climate change and enhance social unity. Among the highlighted projects are the redevelopment of a military warehouse in Mannheim, a historic market in Porto, and an ecological park in Vicenza. Additionally, smaller projects include a plaza in Piódão and public baths in Logroño. The five finalists will be unveiled on September 9, with the winner announced on October 15 at the CCCB.
