2050+ turns Logroño parking lot into playground with movable frontones at Concéntrico 2026
Milan-based multidisciplinary practice 2050+ has installed Frontones Danzantes, a temporary intervention of four movable frontones for Pelota Vasca, basketball, football, and climbing, in the Aparcamiento del Revellín parking lot in Logroño, Spain. Selected through the Ephemeral Agents international open call for Concéntrico 2026, the project reclaims underused urban space for collective play. Within hours of completion, local residents began using the structures for basketball. The geometry references surrounding architecture, and the steel-frame, wheeled panels can be repositioned.
