2026 Corvette E-Ray Arrives in Right-Hand Drive, Blending Hybrid V8 Power With Everyday Usability
The 2026 model year brings significant updates to Chevrolet's eighth-generation Corvette, known as the C8, which now includes a right-hand drive option. Manufactured at Kentucky's Bowling Green Assembly Plant, the C8 made its debut in 2020 as the first mid-engine Corvette, positioning itself against competitors like Maserati, McLaren, Lamborghini, and Ferrari. The lineup features the Stingray, Z06, and E-Ray, the latter equipped with a 6.2-liter Small Block V8 producing 482hp alongside a 162hp electric motor, achieving 62mph in just 2.9 seconds. Although the interior boasts a three-screen configuration, its design has faced criticism for being overly complex. The E-Ray will be priced starting at £158,720 and will be released in limited quantities for right-hand-drive markets.
