1OAM: Eva Papadaki's Athens Hub Blends Art, Hospitality, and Greek Rituals in a 1973 Warehouse
In the Gazi district of Athens, a former food storage warehouse from 1973, originally owned by Aristidis Romanos, has been transformed into 1OAM, a creative space established by Eva Papadaki in 2016. This venue includes four lofts, a penthouse, a café and bakery, and an apotheke. The renovations, carried out by Gavalas Ioannidou Architecture and Studio Andrew Trotter, maintain the building's industrial essence while incorporating contemporary features such as spiral staircases. The apotheke offers products inspired by Crete, while the café fills the air with the aroma of fresh bread. The penthouse boasts lime plaster walls and stylish furnishings. 1OAM is set to host island pop-ups throughout Greece and will launch a candle collaboration with Louise Roe in October 2026. Papadaki describes it as "a small world built around a way of living."
