17th-Century Baroque Palace in Haro Transformed into Boutique Hotel

The Palacio de los Ángeles, a 17th-century Baroque civil palace in Haro, La Rioja, has been converted into a five-star boutique hotel. The architectural intervention was led by Inarsa, with interior design by Trenchs Studio and management by Majestic Hotel Group. The project involved gutting the historic building while preserving its Baroque facade and adding a central patio to organize vertical circulation. The interiors blend original stone walls and dark wood with domestic touches, featuring a romantic lobby with a fireplace and antique table, a wine-gastro bar with a central bar and perimeter wine cellar, and a restaurant with coffered ceilings and a copper-toned fireplace. Guest rooms and suites incorporate natural materials, with some suites featuring freestanding stone bathtubs and canopy beds. Apartments in an annex offer residential-style living with integrated kitchens. The hotel also includes a garden with outdoor dining areas, a pool, and a spa.
