1 Hotel Copenhagen Opens as a Model of Biophilic Design and Sustainability
In 2022, 1 Hotel Copenhagen debuted as the first 1 Hotels establishment in the Nordic region, situated in the Latin Quarter of Copenhagen. This wellness retreat, featuring 282 rooms, was developed from the former Skt. Petri Hotel. The renovation, executed by Arkitema in collaboration with Norm Architects and AvroKO, maintained the original design by Vilhelm Lauritzen. The hotel, located at Krystalgade 22, aims for LEED Gold and BREEAM Excellent certifications, while its dining venue, PÆRE, focuses on locally sourced dishes and eliminates single-use plastics through the '1 Less Thing' program.
