Volcanic Attitude Festival Returns to Naples and the Aeolian Islands for Fifth Edition
The fifth installment of Volcanic Attitude is set to take place from 25 to 29 September, under the curation of Helga Franza, Susanna Ravelli, and Giulia Restifo. Centered around the theme Vibrant Elements, the festival delves into the intersection of art and science within volcanic terrains. Kicking off the 2026 journey in Naples will be a panel featuring agronomist Paola Mautone, artist Simona Da Pozzo, and philosopher Nicola Capone. Attendees will also visit the Aeolian Islands, where performances by Rachele Maistrello and Marco Casagrande are scheduled. On 26 September, presentations will include research projects Bathing Vulcano and KM3NeT. The agenda features a visit to INGV Centro Marcello Carapezza and the Opening Night Vibrant Elements. Established in 2021, the festival has been under female artistic leadership since 2024.
