Il Turner Prize 2026 apre al Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art con quattro artisti finalisti

Il 25 settembre 2026 si è tenuta l'anteprima stampa della mostra del Turner Prize 2026 presso il Middlesbrough Institute of Modern Art (Mima), con l'esposizione pubblica dal 26 settembre 2026 al 29 marzo 2027. Alex Farquharson, direttore della Tate Britain, ha definito la mostra "un'affascinante sezione trasversale delle arti visive nella Gran Bretagna di oggi". Gli artisti finalisti del premio sono Tanoa Sasraku, Marguerite Humeau, Simeon Barclay e Kira Freije. Sasraku presenta Morale Patch, Humeau espone Torches, Barclay reinterpreta The Ruin (2025) come intervento architettonico, e Freije realizza delicate sculture in strisce d'acciaio. La giuria è composta da Sarah Allen, Joe Hill, Sook-Kyung Lee e Alona Pardo. Il vincitore, che sarà annunciato il 10 dicembre, riceverà 25.000 sterline, mentre i tre secondi classificati riceveranno 10.000 sterline ciascuno.
