I Teskey Brothers apriranno il Melbourne International Jazz Festival 2026
Il Melbourne International Jazz Festival ha annunciato che i Teskey Brothers apriranno l'edizione 2026 il 17 ottobre al Sidney Myer Music Bowl. Il concerto celebra il decimo anniversario del loro album di debutto Half Mile Harvest. A loro si uniranno il trombonista Fred Wesley con i The New JBs e la vincitrice dell'ARIA Award Emily Wurramara. Altre aggiunte includono il supergruppo Aziza guidato da Dave Holland alla Hamer Hall il 25 ottobre, i Rebirth Brass Band al 170 Russell il 18 ottobre e la violoncellista Tomeka Reid con il suo Quartetto al The JazzLab il 24-25 ottobre. I headliner precedentemente annunciati includono Dee Dee Bridgewater, Tigran Hamasyan, aja monet, The Bad Plus e il Kris Davis Trio. Il festival si svolge dal 16 al 25 ottobre in vari locali di Melbourne. La prevendita per i Teskey Brothers apre alle 10:00 AEST dell'8 luglio.
