Shepard Fairey torna ad Asbury Park per PlusOne, la festa d'arte inaugurale di tre weekend di Wooden Walls
A settembre, Shepard Fairey tornerà ad Asbury Park, nel New Jersey, per realizzare un murale al Sunset Avenue Pavilion. Questo evento darà il via a PlusOne, una celebrazione artistica di tre weekend organizzata dal Wooden Walls Public Art Project. Fairey, celebre per il suo marchio OBEY e per l'iconico poster "Hope" di Obama, aveva già visitato la città nel 2011. I festeggiamenti iniziano con "March of Medusa" dal 18 al 20 settembre, che include un Arts Block Party, una mostra alla Parlor Gallery e un Art Print Shop. Il secondo weekend, intitolato "Dr. Flotsam's Carny Island", si svolge il 25 e 26 settembre, con installazioni di Mike Shine e altri. Il weekend conclusivo, "Carousel Fun House", si tiene il 2 e 3 ottobre, con giochi e installazioni uniche. L'iniziativa è sostenuta dal programma di sovvenzioni A.R.T. Phase II della NJEDA.
