San Francisco lancia il distretto artistico e teatrale di Market Street da 500.000 dollari
Il Market Street Arts & Theater District sarà lanciato con un investimento di 500.000 dollari da parte della San Francisco Downtown Development Corporation, Chris Larsen e Proper Hotel Group. Questa iniziativa è stata annunciata dalla Mid-Market Business Association & Foundation giovedì 15 ottobre, in concomitanza con il primo Market Street Arts & Theater Festival, in programma sabato 17 ottobre dalle 16 alle 22 presso UN Plaza, situato al 355 McAllister St. Il festival presenterà oltre 50 spettacoli tra Fifth Street e Van Ness Avenue. Focalizzato sul blocco 900 di Market Street, il distretto mira ad attivare spazi vacanti e sostenere spettacoli nell'arco di un progetto pilota di 12 mesi, con aspirazioni di espansione futura. Inoltre, l'American Conservatory Theater ha annunciato ACTivate mercoledì 14 ottobre.
