Rome's Ex Circolo degli Artisti Garden Reopens as Spaziotempo Cultural Project

Fatti principali

• Spaziotempo opens 4 September and runs until 30 October 2026 in the garden of the former Circolo degli Artisti at via Casilina Vecchia 42 in Rome.
• The concert hall and indoor spaces remain closed; the building has been cleaned and secured but needs further restoration, including two farmhouses.
• The project was selected through a public call by Roma Capitale via Zètema and is managed by Barra Spaziatrice A.P.S. with Agorà S.p.A.
• Programming includes concerts, theater, performances, film screenings, exhibitions, publishing events, comedy, and training, mostly free with free access during opening hours.
• IED – Istituto Europeo di Design collaborates on workshops and masterclasses covering videomapping, audiovisual production, sound design, cultural communication, and event planning.
• Partners include Teatro Basilica, Visioni Parallele, Bei Ricordi, Dischi Sotterranei, DO7 Factory, and Common People.
• After restoration, the city intends to tender the entire complex: about 4,000 square meters of garden and 1,000 square meters of indoor space for a multi-year cultural center.
• Assessor Tobia Zevi stated the goal is a center for performing and figurative arts, music, entertainment, and especially education, not a nightclub.
