Reggia di Caserta Seeks Private Sponsors for 17 Projects Worth Over €20 Million
The Reggia di Caserta has launched its inaugural public appeal for sponsors to fund 17 key projects within the Royal Palace, Park, and Piazza Carlo di Borbone, with a target of raising over €20 million. Interim director Antonio Tarasco is spearheading efforts to boost collaboration between public and private sectors due to limited public funding. Notable initiatives encompass a €15 million climate-control system, the restoration of the Ponte di Ercole, and the revival of the historic citrus grove. Interested parties must submit applications by 12:00 on 20 November 2026, with documentation accessible starting 20 October 2026. Recent renovations include the decorative campaign for the Royal Apartments, completed in summer 2024. The future of the Terrae Motus collection is pending a plan from an expert commission.
