Prague Contemporary: New International Art Fair to Debut in Spring 2027

festival-fair · 2026-10-14

In spring 2027, Prague will debut its inaugural international contemporary art fair, named Prague Contemporary, under the theme This Feeling Has No Name. The event is set to showcase forty galleries from both the Czech Republic and abroad, with the goal of bridging Central and Eastern European art communities with global collectors. Alexandra Karpuchina, owner of Karpuchina Gallery, is the founder, while Bulgarian art dealer Stephan Stoyanov serves as the curatorial director. Notable early participants include Kodl Contemporary, DSC Gallery, Emanuel Layr, Pedro Cera Gallery, and The Window Project. The fair will take place at the Industrial Palace, which was completed in 1891, and aims to navigate the challenges faced by Central European art fairs. Final details regarding exhibitors are still forthcoming.
