The tenth installment of 'L'arte anticipa il futuro', created by School of Vision, showcases French artist Philippe Parreno and his upcoming 2024 piece 'Membrane' at the Leeum Museum in Seoul. This impressive tower, nearly 14 meters tall and featuring movable panels, incorporates microphones, sensors, and light and sound technology to capture environmental data, thus producing a distinct artificial language. The series, which includes 14 episodes, is presented by Spazio Taverna in partnership with ENI and ROAD, focusing on contemporary artists’ explorations of urban change, mobility, energy, and sustainability. Born in Oran, Algeria, in 1964, Parreno has resided in Paris and has transformed exhibition experiences since the 1990s, challenging the divide between nature and culture.
